Track construction milestones

Define the construction milestones for each project, mark them complete as work progresses, and let customer payment plans and dunning schedules key off them.

A milestone is a visible construction stage against which construction-linked payment plans trigger customer instalments — foundation, slab, plastering, electricals, possession. When Operations marks a milestone complete, every booking on a construction-linked plan sees the matching instalment due date tick to today, and the dunning worker starts chasing on that row.

Add milestones to a project

Step 1: Open Project management → Milestones

The page is scoped to a single project — pick it from the filter.

Step 2: Click Add milestone

Fill in Label ("Foundation", "Ground slab", "First floor slab"), Target date and Order (0, 1, 2, 3…). The order drives how milestones appear on the project overview timeline.

Step 3: Save

The milestone is added in PLANNED status.

Mark a milestone complete

Step 1: Open the milestone

Click the milestone row.

Step 2: Click Mark complete

Enter the actual completion date. Attach progress photos on the Photos tab if available.

Important

Marking a milestone complete fires instalment-due events on every construction-linked booking on this project. Customers receive their payment reminder immediately if WhatsApp or SMTP is configured. Do not mark a milestone complete until the physical work is signed off.

Reorder milestones

Step 1: Drag the handle on the row

Drag milestones up or down to reorder. The order affects the project overview timeline but not any triggered instalments.
